Earth Angel (Fallen Angels #2)

Just because Megan Barnett recently defeated Satan, has a fantastic new best friend, and has won the love of deliciously handsome, Guy Matson, doesn't mean her troubles are over. far from it. For Megan doesn't realize it, but in her possession is a powerful weapon, a weapon sought after by both angels and demons and everything in between. They will do ANYTHING to get it.

....
I really enjoyed Boyfriend from Hell (you can read the review HERE) and the sequel was just as enjoyable. I love Megan's voice in these books. I love that she's almost painfully good and noble and really really smart.

E. Van Lowe's Boyfriend From Hell was one of my surprise favourite reads of last year and Earth Angel doesn't disappoint as a sequel. I love the tone of these books. There's a smart sarcasm to them that's like the lemon sorbet between food courses of tortured teenage angst YA reads. You don't even realize how much you needed it until you have it.

Yes, there is teenage angst. How can there not be when at fifteen you've already managed to save yourself from becoming Satan's bride and now have an Angel for a boyfriend while also being a top student and a Mathlete?

But, as I said, Megan tells her story with a great voice. It's nice to read  a story about a girl who's really smart and doesn't feel like she needs to pretend she's not. Meghan is involved in school, has friends and is well rounded. I like reading a story in which the heroine's life is still interesting beyond the supernatural elements that invade it.

If you're looking to try something new, or to be the first of your friends to discover something new, give this series a go. You'll like 'em.

Happy Reading!
