On the Eighth Day of Christmas

On the eighth day of Christmas my bookstore gave to me....

eight lovers loving
seven kick ass inventions
six more books in a series
five Iron Knights!
four unseelie princes
three teens in love
two red shoes
and a lost book hidden in a library!

Ash Turner has waited a lifetime to seek revenge on the man who ruined his family—and now the time for justice has arrived. At Parford Manor, he intends to take his place as the rightful heir to the dukedom and settle an old score with the current duke once and for all. But instead he finds himself drawn to a tempting beauty who has the power to undo all his dreams of vengeance….
Lady Margaret knows she should despise the man who's stolen her fortune and her father's legacy—the man she's been ordered to spy on in the guise of a nurse. Yet the more she learns about the new duke, the less she can resist his smoldering appeal. Soon Margaret and Ash find themselves torn between old loyalties—and the tantalizing promise of passion….
I had a little trouble coming up with eight, but I did read some steamy romances this year that deserved a mention. I decided to single out Courtney Milan's Turner Series since I've already read 3 out of 4 (2x4 makes eight hence the eight lovers loving)
The Turner books were a solid series that I really enjoyed despite having a tough time finding historical romances that I actually liked this year. This series stood out as better than the rest for me.

  1. I enjoy a good historical romance too, and you are right, it is hard to find a great series! Thanks for the ideas!
